Sean (US): This week I hit a total of 10 pounds lost after 3 weeks of Weight Watchers®; a big thanks to Mike and Rob for inspiring me to give WW a shot. My foot injury is mostly healed so I get to start yoga again too.

Stefan (Germany): I have been weighing more than I should for most of my life, but due to my lack of discipline I have never done a serious attempt to lose weight or even do some sports. But the situation changed when I went on holiday to California where I made extensive excursions to the local burger grills. Wendy’s, Carl Jr., you name it, I’ve been there. As a result I gained around 12 lbs in only 3 weeks and reached a total of 262 lbs which is too much even for someone 6ft 2″ tall.

When I came home, I not only felt really fat and unattractive, I also had a real lust for salad and fruits that I had not known before. So I figured this would be the perfect situation to get serious about losing some weight.

I felt that a complex diet plan like counting points would be too annoying for me to stick to, so instead I just cut down my portions and replaced the huge amounts of unhealthy stuff I was jamming into me every day by more healthy food. Instead of the french fries I will have rice, potato chips are replaced by raw carrots, and a ham bacon & egg sandwich can be eaten without the ham bacon & egg and especially without the butter that glues it all together.

I have been doing this for five days now and already lost 7 lbs. Most of my previous halfhearted attempts failed around dinner time of the first day. As next step, I will think about buying a Wii to get me do a bit of sportive activity.

Administrative Override

Lexy: This week has been a challenge. Between Chinese food on Father’s Day, traveling (basically on vacation) for four days, and coming back to stress – well, it’s not the best I’ve ever done. On the other hand, going to visit my father actually got me outside and doing some gardening. The end result is that I had been up about three pounds but am now back to where I was before I left. I can live with that.

Rafe: My corporeal being did not exhibit any substantial changes in mass or composition. However, I got faster and stronger (for the first time in my life, I picked up something twice as heavy as I am).

Scott: Holding steady for now, which isn’t the result I want. May have to change things up a bit more to find out where the hole is in my dieting. But have been keeping up with the workouts and seem to be very slowly losing weight.

As next step I think about buying a Wii to get me do a bit of sportive activity.
